Description: Matron head modified large cent for sale, minted sometime between 1835-1839 (the date is not visible, but the shape of the Liberty's head is the "young head" that was only used during those years). The coin pictured is the exact coin you will receive. This planchet is extremely thin, with the coin weighing only 5.85 grams (photo shows edge of this coin on left, compared to normal large cent on right). I have seen many large cents with the entire side of the coin smoothed down/worn away that weigh much more than this coin as the design was not struck that deep into the coin, for that much metal of the coin to wear away and still see the details of the coin. It does have damaged, pitted/corroded surfaces on both sides. Please use the pictures to determine the grade and feel free to ask any questions that you have. Will ship next day once payment is received. Combined Shipping: I offer free combined shipping for every additional coin purchased. In order to receive the free combined shipping, you must wait for a revised invoice before paying. Thanks
