They were purchased immediately after they were published, directly from the distributor, and were bagged, boarded, and well-stored in a dark and air conditioned environment for the past 30-40 years. These comics were never on display at any convention or store shelf and have never been handled by prospective customers. They have been recently returned from CGC grading and include a plastic outer sleeve to protect the slab. Note: CGC cases may have minor imperfections including specs of dust, scuffs, scratches, and or newton rings. This applies to all cases ever produced by CGC.
