Description: This unique collection features items from the Civil War era, including a Virginia 'Jeff Davis' Hardee Hat Pin and buttons. These original period items are perfect for any militaria collector or history enthusiast. The shadow box display allows for easy viewing and preservation of the artifacts. The conflict represented in this collection is the Civil War (1861-65), and all items were found at campsites in Virginia. This shadow box display is a great addition to any collection and is sure to impress. I made this display myself from the collection of relics that I've acquired over the years from local dealers in Virginia and on eBay. This display case makes a great start for a Civil War relic collection, or displayable addition to one. A great piece to handle and use as an educational device without fear of damaging the relics inside. The relics are held in by their own accord, no glue or adhesive holds them to the backing. This is a quality shadowbox, made in the USA, scientific-grade, with 100% cotton backing and an authentic Plexiglass window. Relics in this collection include: a three-ring Union Minie ball, a bone-handle pocket knife with blade extended, a US belt buckle skin, an infantry hat bugle insignia, a Federal eagle infantry coat button, the remnants of a Confederate 'Jeff Davis' Hardee hat pin, as well as New York and Massachusetts militia coat buttons. The shadow box is 8 1/4" x 12 1/4", and weighs approx 1 lb. 3 oz. Asking $150 OBO, the shadowbox will be shipped, well-packed and secure inside of bubble wrap and secured with ample packing tape. Combined shipping is unavailable with this item.
