Description: Exclusive release for 1999 benefit charity event. This is a limited edition poster produced in 1999 by American Cajun artist George Rodrigue (1944-2013) to benefit the Humane Society of Broward County, Florida. A small number were produced, featuring his internationally famous Blue Dog motif, which was based on the Cajun Loup-garou legend. This is the only version of the Blue Dog ever created by Rodrigue that features him wearing an I.D. tag, to promote responsible pet ownership and adoption. In his lifetime, Rodrigue was very careful about safeguarding the image of the Blue Dog, and its participation in the 1999 Humane Society benefit was a rare exception. Framed and in good condition with no observed damage. Please review the picture as this is the actual item you will be bidding on.
