These jars are made of thick, durable glass. However, all glass has the potential to break or crack if exposed to sudden, extreme temperature changes. Don;t go from freezer to hot water immediately. Place the jar under warm running water for 10-15 seconds first. Then, remove the lid before placing jar in hot water. Don't place jars in a pot of water on a stove top over an open flame or on a hot electric stove top. Don't microwave frozen jars. Thaw food first, then microwave cold jars at 50% power for 15-30 seconds. Always remove lid before placing jar in microwave. Don't fill jar to maximum capacity when freezing-food expands when frozen. Don't use jars in a pressure cooker or instapot. Let hot food cool for 5-10 minutes before storing in the fridge or freezer. Thaw frozen jars in the fridge, a bowl of warm water or under warm running water. If warming food in bottle warmer, use low heat setting only and remove kart lid.
