DIMENSIONS: 37 1/2" tall x 15" wide 15" deep.Seat height: 18 1/2". Total weight: 11 lbs. DESCRIPTION: Vintage Chiavari chair. Tubular brass (lacquered). Upholstered seat. Very high quality. The seat frame appears to be made of MDF. Frame impressed: "Made in Italy". 1960s I believe. CONDITION: The fabric on the seat was replaced at some point. There is clear tape on the bottom keeping the excess fabric from hanging down. One of the 4 screws securing the seat to the frame is not original. The lacquer is failing in places due to age, particularly on the lower legs. Consult photos for all of this. Otherwise this chair is in excellent all original condition. No damages and no significant wear. No restorations or repair. Apart from the screw no missing / replaced / non original parts. No dings, dents, bends, breaks, splits, cracks, creases. No stains or discolorations. No significant scratches or rubs. No corrosion. No pitting. No significant oxidation. No evidence of exposure to moisture. No looseness in the frame. The seat cushion seems to be in good usable condition with no concealed structural issues. Felt glides are intact but probably somewhat compressed with use. Appears to have seen only seldom gentle use. Very clean as found. No grime. No pet, cigarette or other unpleasant odors. On very close inspection you may detect some typical, very light, use-related wear: scattered small superficial scratches or rubs to the lacquer. Nothing at all significant or conspicuous. There is some typical age-related oxidation to the brass in areas where the lacquer has failed. (I personally find this oxidation characterful rather than unsightly.) Displays well.
