Description: Rolex Datejust Ref. 1601! This is a great vintage 1968 stainless steel and 18k yellow gold Rolex Datejust ref. 1601 with "logo" dial out of an estate. The dial is original Rolex, but the company logo was put on the dial to make this a service award watch. It is the silver pie-pan dial and has Mid-Continent Supply Co logo on the dial and engraved on the case back. The watch is in a 36 mm stainless steel case and will fit 20 mm straps. The case and crystal show light scratches. Serial number 1787XXX, dates to 1968. The case back is date coded lI.68. The model and serial numbers are legible clearly readable between the lugs. You can see them in the photo.The watch is currently running and is keeping time within about 5 sec/day according to our timing machine. We do not know the service history on this watch and recommend it be serviced after purchase. The crown screws down about a turn and one half.
