Description: Vtg MCM 50s BORGHESE ITALY Table Lamp GOLD GILDED FLORENTINE WOOD 2 Lights- takes 2 regular light bulbs with a pull chain on each30.25" tall to tip of finial, lamp is 25.25" high from base to neck of sockets. Square wood base is 5 1/8" square. There is a screw along the brass pipe neck which looks adjustable so that the height adjusts slightly taller or shorter depending on the shade size [shade not included]Elegant and luxurious, the Borghese name represented TOP END luxury lamps and are highly collectible todayHIGHLY COLLECTIBLE handmade, antique gold gilded wood lamp. The finish on this is what Borghese lamps were so famous for in the 1950s- spectacular speckled multi layered glazes and paints that look richly colored, mellow, and old. The gold has some silvering to it, and some darker spots plus some rubbed areas along edges with an orangey undertone [deliberately created this way].Wood is SOLID [but for small center wiring tunnel] and extremely HEAVY Square wood base has a matte black paint finish. Original large ornate solid brass [heavy] finialExcellent pristine condition, works perfectly. Hand applied gold gilded paint finish is not scratched, chipped, or damaged in any way. Original pull chains on bulbs undamaged and work perfectly. See all pics and use zoom as pics are part of description. Light bulbs not included. Original 77" Cord, dark brown with 2 prong style plug . Cord is not brittle, cracked, and is not in need of changing unless the buyer so chooses.Underside base of lamp has a thick black furniture felt covering it, to protect table surfaces.
